CALCULATOR

Pipe Volume Calculator – Calculate Water Volume in Pipes

Calculate the volume of water inside pipes based on diameter and length. Useful for plumbing and heating systems

Calculator

Enter the length of the pipe in meters or feet

Enter the inner diameter of the pipe in millimeters (metric) or inches (imperial). Use inner diameter, not outer diameter.

Enter the number of pipes (default: 1). Useful for calculating total volume in a system with multiple pipes.

Select meters or feet for pipe length measurements (diameter is always in mm for metric, inches for imperial)

How to Calculate

  • 1Enter the pipe length in meters or feet
  • 2Enter the pipe inner diameter in millimeters (metric) or inches (imperial)
  • 3Enter the number of pipes (default: 1, use >1 for systems with multiple pipes)
  • 4Select the unit system: Meters or Feet
  • 5Click the Calculate button
  • 6View the volume per pipe in liters and cubic meters
  • 7See the total volume for all pipes
  • 8Check volume in gallons if using imperial units
  • 9Review the formula, breakdown, and explanation for calculation details

Examples

Single Pipe, 20 m, Ø25 mm

Inputs

length: 20diameter: 25pipes: 1

Formula

Radius = 25 / 2 / 1000 = 0.0125 m

Result

20

Heating System with Multiple Pipes

Inputs

length: 15diameter: 20pipes: 8

Formula

Volume per Pipe = π × 0.01² × 15 = 0.00471 m³ = 4.71 liters

Result

8

Large Diameter Pipe

Inputs

length: 50diameter: 100pipes: 1

Formula

Radius = 100 / 2 / 1000 = 0.05 m

Result

100

Compare Two Diameters

Inputs

1: 202: 40length: 10comparison: 40

Formula

Volume = π × 0.01² × 10 = 3.14 liters

Result

.

Imperial Units Example

Inputs

length: 30diameter: 1pipes: 1convert: 1

Formula

Convert: 30 ft = 9.144 m

Result

30
